We are Foodies, not Food Scientists or Nutritionists
The nutritional information we provide is based on our standard recipes and servings sizes, and it’s derived from a combination of sources including, but not necessarily limited to:
- Information provided by our suppliers, and
- Standardized USDA nutrition data
We recognize that each individual has particular dietary concerns that determine how well certain foods work for their body. We in no way claim that Packit Gourmet meals are a safe, healthy, optimal or nutritionally sound choice for any individual and/or any particular dietary need. Please read our nutritional information and make choices that are right for you.
Secondly, due to the inherent variability in ingredients and the hand-crafted nature of our products, there may be differences between the nutritional content of your individual meal, and the nutritional values provided in the accompanying Packit nutritional information.
For example, your Texas Mesquite Chicken Salad may contain a few extra dices of chicken and a few more pieces of apple than our “standard” recipe — therefore, the protein, carb count, etc may be slightly altered from our “standard” nutrition chart. Slight variation is to be expected.
While we have made an effort to ensure that the nutritional information we provide is accurate, because of our reliance on suppliers for accurate information, the shared cooking and preparation areas of our kitchens, and the handcrafted nature of our menu items, we cannot completely eliminate the risk of cross-contact or declare that any item is free of any allergen. As such, all consumers must independently evaluate the suitability of a given meal for their dietary and health requirements, and should consume our products only after having done so.
Let’s Talk About Food
We don’t just love to make great food, we also love to talk about it. So, in addition to our meals, we may discuss or publish pieces on topics relating to food or nutrition, as well as recipes, suggestions, ideas, and other information. Any such information, regardless of where we publish or espouse it, is not to be construed as medical advice, medical instruction, or medical nutrition therapy. Nor have any statements of ours relating to food, health, or nutrition been evaluated or approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration. No content or advice provided is intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease, nor shall it be used as a substitute for professional medical expertise or treatment. If you are experiencing a health issue, we highly recommend that you consult a physician immediately.
