Ultralight Cook-in-Cozy™

We highly recommend pairing our custom made Cook-in-Cozy™ with our trail meals!  The insulated interior allows for the perfect steep-cooking environment — faster rehydration while maintaining a higher temperature for your meal. In testing, we've found that heat loss is three times greater without the Cook-in-Cozy™!

The Cozy perfectly fits two entrée-sized meals when expanded and folds compactly for storage with a weight of 59 grams.

It can also be used to store cool beverages or protect bruisable items.

Well worth the money. Couldn't make one better from material bought in the big box home improvement store. Definitely keeps the meal warm and shortened the hydration time in the cold. Haven’t tried it out on other brand of dehydrated meals packets for fitment but I’m sure it would fit fine.

I love this insulated bag. I do not 'cook in bag' but my sea to summit delta bowl w lid slides right into it for rehydrating. I carry my spoon, tea and such in it when packed up. I also love that it says Packit Gourmet because you all are my favorite for backpacking meals and grocery items :)

A great idea - lightweight and works well. Had too many issues on cold nights where a cook-in-bag meal would cool off while it sat for 15 minutes. Left my meals in here on 40 degree nights and they stayed hot. Easy to carry and use. Another great idea!

This product was recommended by a fellow hiker friend. I ended up trying a few of their meals for the first time as well. I emptied the meals into freezer Ziploc bags and took pictures of the cooking instructions. When it was time for dinner, I added water to the Ziploc bags and dropped them into the cook-in-cozy. It was perfect! It's lightweight, heats up more than one meal at a time, and there's no after cooking mess, and does the job. My friends are now purchasing one as well. I highly recommend this product!

This little item was great for steeping our meals and keeping them hot in the process!

How well does the Cook-in-Cozy™ work?

The chart below outlines an experiment conducted by Packit Gourmet employees. It begins with pouring boiling water into a Cook-in-Bag™ trail meal and illustrates the change of temperature to the trail meal as minutes pass — both with a Cook-in-Cozy™ insulating the meal, and without. We found that heat loss is three times greater without the Cook-in-Cozy™!
