Wisconsin Swiss Cheese

Cheese is one of the foods we miss the most after being in the backcountry for a few days, so we were happy to find this shelf stable swiss cheese. Despite being shelf stable this cheese slices and tastes like a good swiss cheese. Enjoy sliced with salami, melt into pasta, stir into refried beans or eat all on its own!

just did a rim to rim grand canyon hike and went with a no cook meal plan. Had the swiss cheese with the summer sausage on triscuits for dinner one night. The cheese held up really well. Yummy and quite filling. Liked the swiss cheese better than the cheddar.

Wow. Shelf-stable cheese with real flavor! Bought the cheddar and the swiss. Liked the Cheddar but LOVED the swiss. Didn't turn into an oily mess after 2 unseasonably hot Northwest days, sliced well and melted into the entree (All-American burger). I wish Pack-It carried more of the cheese flavors -the cranberry comes to mind - because the cheese company takes neither AMEX nor PayPal.

Easily portable, shelf stable cheese that weighs next to nothing in my pack, and actually has lots of flavor. I have tried every flavor that Packit Gourmet carries- they are all great. Wow, who would have thought we could be eating cheese & crackers on a backpacking trip?!? REAL cheese!
