Returns & Exchanges

NON-PERISHABLE ITEMS:

If any non-food item purchased at Packit Gourmet does not meet your standards, the item can be returned within 30 days of purchase for a refund, replacement or store credit. The item must be in its original condition, with original packaging and packing materials in place (to protect the product), to qualify for a full return.

Please note that unless the item is defective or there was a shipping error at the fault of Packit Gourmet, we do not offer complimentary shipping on returns.

 

PERISHABLE ITEMS:

All perishable items (meals and grocery items) are eligible for a return if (1) the food items or exterior packaging are defective or (2) the items arrived after the guaranteed delivery date. (Please note that only Express shipments are guaranteed, non-Express orders (USPS or UPS Ground) will state an "estimated" arrival date. Guaranteed vs. estimated is clearly stated when selecting your shipping option.) If your order meets the above criteria, it is eligible for a replacement or store credit within 30 days of purchase. In the case of your shipment arriving after the guaranteed delivery date, all returns must be received in the original unopened package with packing materials in place.

All perishable items (meals and grocery items) that do not meet the above criteria are not eligible for return or refund. Since we cannot guarantee that the food has been stored properly (in a cool, dark and dry location) and has not come into contact with any liquid, we're unable to resell this to our customers in good faith. Our meals are typically enjoyed in the great outdoors, so it's very important to us that we are 100% sure the meals have not been compromised in any way. 

 

MID-TRANSIT CANCELATIONS:

If your order is shipping via UPS and you’ve decided to cancel the order while it is in transit, please contact us immediately. If you order has not been delivered, we will cancel delivery and immediately issue a refund. UPS does charge a fee of $15.00 to cancel delivery.

If your order is being shipped via USPS, we are unable to cancel your order mid-shipment. Because of this, we recommend immediately writing "Return to Sender" on your box, and returning it to your USPS post office within 24 hours of delivery. If the box is (1) unopened, (2) shipped out within 24 hours of delivery and (3) has "Return to Sender" written on the box, USPS will not charge you for shipment and we will accept the return with a full refund.

 

Ordered too much?   Don’t worry – our meals & freeze-dried / dehydrated grocery items have a shelf life of 18 months after the pack date. The pack date is typically within 1-2 months of your order date for meals. Grocery items typically have a minimum of 6 months remaining shelf life. RETURN PROCEDURE:

To request a return authorization and shipping instructions, send an email to trailfood@packitgourmet.com. Be sure to let us know if you'd like a refund; if you'd like to exchange the item or receive a store credit.
