Freeze-dried zucchini is one of the best vegetables out there. It is savory with a hint of sweetness.

Being freeze-dried you can munch on it raw. Think of it as a veggie chip. They are not hard, rather as you bite in they go from crisp to soft. A great trail snack!

It comes back to life perfectly, working great in FBC meals, one pot dishes and one of my favorites: soak the zucchini, drain well then saute in a small nonstick pot or fry pan with olive oil till golden brown over a medium flame. It doesn’t need anything extra - it is perfect trail eats! (OK, you might like a pinch of salt and pepper….)
