Team Jordan Romero - A Quest to Climb the
Seven Summits of the World
Packit Gourmet is sponsoring
young athlete, Jordan Romero, in his quest to climb the seven summits of
the world and, at the same time, encourage kids to eat well and spend
time in the outdoors. We will be providing all of the food for the next
summit - Mt. Everest!
Philip Werner - A Trek Across the Scottish Highlands
Philip
Werner will hike the TGO Challenge - 180 miles of self-supported
walking across the highlands of Scotland with Packit Gourmet in his
pack! Held every May since 1980, Philip will be one of 300 participants
invited to participate in the challenge
Loyal Mehnert - A 1000 Mile Travelanthropic Journey
Loyal
Mehnert is setting off
to hike the Camino de Santiago through France and Spain - an ancient
pilgrimage route covering nearly 500 miles and varied terrain. He will
immediately follow this hike with a 500 mile bike ride through the
Midwest United States - 1000 miles total! Loyal is
engaging in this travelanthropic journey to raise funds and awareness
for post-Hurricane Katrina rebuilding efforts along the Mississippi Gulf
Coast.
